Terms of service

Agreement

By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you enter into a binding agreement with GameBin. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, or the minimum age required in your country if higher. Guest mode is available without an account for limited local use. You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account.

The service

GameBin provides tools to catalog, organize, and manage video game collections across physical and digital platforms. Features include barcode scanning, library management, progress tracking, platform imports (Steam, PlayStation, GOG), social features, insights, and optional Reseller mode for inventory and listing workflows.

The Service is available via mobile apps (iOS and Android) and a web dashboard at gamebin.net. Features may vary by platform and subscription tier. We may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid subscribers.

Game metadata is sourced from third parties including RAWG and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee the accuracy of catalog data, pricing suggestions, or marketplace listing drafts.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your profile up to date.

Authentication is handled through our secure auth provider. You may sign in with email/password or supported OAuth providers. Notify us promptly at support@gamebin.net if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may export or delete your data from app settings. Account deletion requests can also be sent to privacy@gamebin.net.

Subscriptions and billing

Free tier. GameBin offers a free tier with limits including up to 3 libraries and 100 synced games. Guest mode works offline without an account for local collection management.

GameBin Pro. Paid subscriptions unlock Reseller mode, unlimited libraries, platform connections, higher scan limits, and deeper insights. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play unless otherwise stated on gamebin.net. Payment processing may also involve RevenueCat.

Subscription fees, renewal periods, and free trials (including the 7-day Pro trial) are displayed at purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled through your store account settings before the renewal date. Refunds follow the policies of Apple, Google, or the applicable payment provider. We cannot override store refund decisions.

We may change subscription pricing or features with advance notice. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods after notice.

Reseller mode

Reseller mode is part of GameBin Pro and is intended for hobby sellers and part-time resellers. It provides inventory tracking, profit analytics, listing drafts, and export tools. GameBin is not a marketplace. We do not process sales, hold funds, or guarantee listing performance on Marktplaats, Vinted, eBay, or any other platform.

You are solely responsible for compliance with tax, consumer protection, and marketplace rules in your jurisdiction. AI-generated listing text should be reviewed before publishing. Profit calculations are estimates and may not reflect final fees or outcomes.

Your content

You retain ownership of the collection data, notes, ratings, and other content you add to the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant GameBin a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including sync across your devices, social features you enable, and backup.

When you connect third-party platforms (Steam, PlayStation, GOG), you authorize us to import library metadata from those services as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the right to import and store that data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, API, or infrastructure
• Scrape or bulk-download catalog data beyond normal app use
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security or subscription controls
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of third-party terms
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users
• Upload malware or content that infringes others' rights

We may investigate violations and take action including suspension or termination.

Social features

Social features let you share parts of your collection, activity, or profile with other users when you choose. You control what is visible through in-app privacy settings. Do not share others' personal information without consent. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate community standards or these Terms.

Intellectual property

GameBin, the GameBin logo, and the Service (excluding Your Content and third-party materials) are owned by GameBin and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or software except the limited right to use the Service as intended.

Third-party game titles, artwork, and metadata belong to their respective owners. RAWG and other data providers may require attribution, which we display where applicable.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GameBin and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) EUR 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GameBin from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights, including sales or listings you create using Reseller mode.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on gamebin.net and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via the app, email, or a prominent notice where practicable. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in the Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
